Ride the Tiger

Today is National Coming Out Day, and while I don't have anything exciting to announce I do think it's a good time for we straight folk to reiterate our solidarity with the people of differing sexualities who are struggling with the sort of discrimination and bias that no human being should ever experience. I just applied for membership in The League The Outer Alliance, "a group of SF/F writers who have come together as allies for the advocacy of LGBT issues in literature. Made up of individuals of all walks of life, our goal is to educate, support, and celebrate LGBT contributions in the science-fiction and fantasy genres." I don't affiliate myself often or lightly, but this seems important.
